Fruit Conserve
contributed by Michele of Freehold, NJ
One of my favorite accompaniments to our Traditional Easter Ham dinner is my Fruit Conserve. Here is how to make it:
1 Can Each and drained:
(small can) Mandarin Oranges
(large) Red Pitted Cherries
(Large can) Pears
(Large can) Peaches
(Large can) Pineapple Chunks
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
Approximately 10 Crumbled Coconut Cookies
1/3 Cup of Sherry
Butter a 9 x 13 glass oblong pan. Pour the very well drained fruit into pan, crush cookies on top, dab with butter and spritz a little bit of
Sherry on
top. Bake in the oven at 350º for 30-40 minutes. Serve HOT!
Serves about 10-12 people.
Hope you enjoy.
