Angel Fridge Magnet

frozen juice can lid
white, pink or flesh tone paint OR white, pink or flesh tone paper,
circle of white paper or a small paper doily (we always keep the little paper doilies from hotel visits)
glue
yellow water color paint
markers
cotton balls
Optional: magnet (you can hang it on the tree instead of making a magnet, in which case you'll need string or ribbon rather than a magnet)
the magnet needs to be pretty powerful to hold on the fridge.
Optional: glitter glue, sequins or sparkles
Optional: wiggly eyes

Use yellow water color paint to paint your doily yellow. This is going to be the halo.
Put the doily onto a scrap piece of paper when painting to keep your work area clean.
This step is very easy for even the youngest children
Make sure your juice lid is clean.
Look carefully at the lid.
- When you lie it on the table, one side will have almost the entire thing in contact with the table (this will be the back of the magnet).
- The other side will only have the rim in contact with the table. This will be the side we're going to paint.
Paint the lid (also very easy for young kids)

OR
Cut a circle of construction paper that fits inside the rim of the juice can lid and glue it on.
Let everything dry.
Glue the doily onto the back of the juice can lid (like a halo).
Cut some thin (1/2 inch) piece of yellow or orange construction paper and curl them around a pencil.
Glue the curls around the face as hair.
Cut out wing shapes from white construction paper or use the template provided.
Glue cotton onto the wing shapes.
Glue them to the back of the juice can.
Using marker, wiggly eyes and/or paint put a face onto the lid.
Glue magnet onto back or ribbon on top if you've chosen to hang it on the tree instead.

After printing, close the template window to return to the main page.
