Lacing projects are a great craft for preschoolers and kindergarten
children to complete during any holiday. The lacing gives them
fine motor skill practice and practice tying knots and bows
(shoelaces!) The large blank area in the center gives the kids the
chance to 'get creative'.
A stocking is pictured in the photo but you can also do Bells, Christmas
Trees and Snowflakes.
Bell: lace with a running stitch around the
outside of the bell. Tie a bow at the top. Gold or yellow wool or ribbon would be nice.

Stocking: lace with any type of stitch around
the outside of the stocking with any color of wool. Tie off at the
top. Decorate the center with die cuts, stickers, stamps or
markers.

Tree: lace across the tree so the lacing
looks like garland. Kids may need help punching holes for this
method. Or just lace around the outside. Use dot stickers or
a bingo dauber to decorate further.
