Dove Paper Craft

This is a very simple paper craft that is assembled without a background (just as a dove) or on a background sheet that has a special item the dove can hold:

• a poppy, for Remembrance Day
• an olive branch, for the story of Noah's Ark
• a flower garland. The dove and flower garland are sometimes shown in old Greek art representing the goddess Aphrodite.
• a ribbon. The dove and ribbon are often shown on old Roman pottery representing the goddess Venus

Materials:

• printer,
• paper,
• scissors,
• something to color with (if using the B&W version),
• glue
  

Instructions:

• Print out the background template you would like to use and color it, if you picked the black and white version.
• Print out the dove template (this doesn't need to be colored because doves are white... but let your kids have fun if they like!)
• Cut out the template pieces.
• Glue the tail behind the dove's body.
• Glue the wing onto the dove's body.
• Glue the dove onto the background template you've chosen, if you're using one so it looks like the item (poppy, olive branch, ribbon or flower garland) is being held in the dove's beak!
   

Craft Templates:

• After printing, close the template window to return to the main page.
• If the template doesn’t fit on one page, adjust your printer margins:
  • In most browsers: Print → More settings → Margins → Minimum
  • Or use Page Setup / Printer Setup in your printer dialog
