Crocheted Angel 2

Materials:
- Sport Weight Yarn-Your choice of color for dress-white for halo and wings and trim at bottom of dress.
- Size E Crochet Hook.
- One Lollipop (about 4" long -I use Tootsie Roll Brand Lollipops)
- One 10 mm Jingle Bell.
- Size 18 Tapestry Needle
Instructions:
HALO:
With white, ch 10; join to form ring.
Rnd. 1 (right side): Ch 1, sc in ring, (ch 3, sc in ring) 7 times; 5 sc in ring; join in
first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
WINGS:
With white, ch 8.
Rnd. 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 5 chs, in next ch work (sc, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc);
working on opposite side in unused lps of beg ch, dc in next 5 lps, in next lp work (3 dc,
ch 3, 2 dc, sc); join in first sc.
Rnd. 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc as joining and in next 6 sc; ch 3, sc in same sc; ch 3, sk
next dc, sc in next dc, in next ch-3 lp work (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc); ch 3, (sk next dc, sc in
next dc, ch 3) 5 times; in next ch-3 lp work (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc); sc in next dc, ch 3, sk
next dc, sc in next sc, ch 3, sc in same sc; join in first sc; ch 3, turn.
Rnd. 3 (right side): Sc in next sc, ch 3, sk next ch-3 lp, *in next ch-3 lp work (3 dc, ch
3, 3 dc); ch 3 *, sk next sc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3; rep
from * to * once; sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, (ch 3, sc in next ch-3
lp) 6 times; ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3; rep from * to *
once; sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, rep from * to * once; sk next
ch-3 lp, sc in next sc, ch 3; join in next sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Cut 24" strand of white yarn. Wrap doubled strand 4 times around center of wings,
drawing up tightly. Tie knot on right side.
Tack right side of Halo to wrong side of Wings.
DRESS:
With color of choice, chain 20.
Row 1 (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch: 19 sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 3. Rep. Row 2
Row 4. Sc in next 9 sc, ch 1, sk next sc, sc in next 9 sc; ch 1, turn.
Row 5. Sc in each sc and in ch-1 sp; ch 1, turn
Row 6. Sc in each sc; ch 1, turn
Row 7. Sc in each sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
Fold piece lengthwise with right side out to form arms. With tapestry needle, sew first 6
sts of beg ch row to backloopss of corresponding 6 sts of Row 7; sew last 6 sts of beg ch
row to backloops of corresponding 6 sts of Row 7, leaving center 7 sts on each side
unworked.
SKIRT:
Hold arms upside down with 14 unworked sts and lps at top.
Rnd. 1 Ch 3 (counts as dc on this and following rnds), dc in same lp as joining; 2 dc in
each of next 6 lps; working along front of Dress in backloops only, 2 dc in each of next 7
sc; join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3; 28 dc.
Rnd. 2: Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining; working in backloops only, 2 dc in each dc; join
in 3rd ch of beg ch-3; 56 dc.
Rnd. 3: Ch 3, working in backloops only, dc in each dc; join in 3rd ch of beg
ch-3.
Rnd. 4: Ch 3, dc in same ch as joining; working in backloops only, dc in next dc, (2 dc in
next dc, dc in next dc) 27 times; join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3; 84 dc.
Change to white by drawing lp through; cut off main color.
Rnd. 5: Ch 3, 2 dc in same ch as joining; working in backlops only, 3 dc in ea dc; join in
3rd ch of beg ch-3. Finish off and weave in all ends.
FINISHING:
Step 1: Tack wings to back of dress at shoulders
Step 2: Fold arms at center front and tack together. Tack bell where arms meet.
Step 3: Insert lollipop into ch-1 sp. In Row 4.
