  (nursery rhyme - entire section including a mini book)
    

• Halloween by Robert Burns
  (this is NOT a simple poem -- but he was Scotland's greatest poet and some people love his work!)

  (nursery rhyme)
    

• Pumpkin Time
  (nursery rhyme - can sing to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb, but I prefer it as a poem)
    

• The Spider and The Fly by Mary Howitt
  (the entire poem can be challenging, but you can present just verse one to young children)

  (Another challenging poem, but a good spooky work by a classic poet)
