Materials you will need are a
printer, paper, scissors, glue, and
something to colour with.
The photo of the witch we made is the large version -- it takes
more paper, but my girls like BIG crafts *grin*.
OPTIONAL MATERIALS:

thin cardboard (old cereal boxes) |

brass tacks |
|
hole punch |

INSTRUCTIONS:
| Print out the template of choice (there's a small version and a larger
version).
|
| Colour pieces, as necessary.
|
| Cut out the pieces. This step may require
adult assistance. I usually let my 3 year old cut out the large
pieces (like template 1 and 4) and I cut out the smaller pieces
|
| Glue the witch together as follows:
 | glue the head on top of the hat |
| glue the hair on top of the head |
| glue the yellow star onto the hat |
| glue the put together head onto the dress |
| glue the pumpkin, frog or cat (your choice) onto the center of the
chest |
| glue the arms onto the dress, overlapping the pumpkin, frog or cat so
it looks like the witch is hugging it |
| glue the legs under the dress
|

| ALTERNATIVE ASSEMBLY - moveable limbs:
| glue the first template (dress) and the third
template (arms and legs) onto thin cardboard before cutting them out |
| glue the head on top of the hat |
| glue the hair on top of the head |
| glue the yellow star onto the hat |
| glue the put together head onto the dress |
| glue the pumpkin, frog or cat (your choice) onto the center of the
chest |
| punch a hole in each of the arms and legs
with a hole punch. |
| punch a hole through the dress where the arms
and legs would be attached (shoulders and bottom of the dress) |
| put the brass tacks through the limbs and the
dress so that the limbs are moveable. |

| Set page margins to zero if you have trouble fitting the template on one
