Other simple ideas:
- dry Lucky Charms cereal and/or Skittles candy to nibble.
- Green grapes, kiwis, cucumbers, pickles and celery are great (and healthy)
green snacks.
- Make vanilla pudding, but add a bit of green food coloring to make it into
Leprechaun pudding. Pistachio pudding also works, but some kids don't
like the nuts in it.
- Equal parts cream cheese and marshmallow cream with green food coloring
added makes a great dip for cut up green apples.
From Krista: I like to make an 'Irish Stew' with the kids by asking each child to bring a vegetable from home. What we get is what we use!!!
Sometimes the stew has alot of carrots!!! It is a good idea to have some veggies on hand for variety.
From Katherine: everybody may know this
already but by adding green food coloring to your child's milk on St.Patty's day can be
really exciting, my mom always said it was because a Leprechaun drank out of the carton.
